**Standard Work Hours are Mon - Fri 5:30am - 2:00pm plus overtime and scheduled weekends**
Summary/Objective:
The Operator I, Lettershop Inserter is required to operate production equipment, meet productivity standards on time in a MAIL PRODUCTION (LETTERSHOP) team environment.
Essential Functions:
Set-up, Operating and basic maintenance of mail machines
Able to operate mail production machine(s) independently for all types of mailing/lettershop jobs
Able to set up basic jobs, consistently achieves expected throughput/efficiency, run 100% mail well for critical clients
Trouble-shoot mailing, inserting, folding equipment and provide proper adjustments to meet established hourly production standards
Ensure proper sorting according to USPS requirements
Reconciling/recording for all output
Accurately use job data capture to track time
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience working in a lettershop doing production work with mail
- Excellent attendance record and punctuality
Position requires High School/GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of USPS regulations
Ability to read and understand job tickets
Ability to use powered material handling equipment and stack pallets
English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking required. Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Not responsible for supervising other employees.
Work Environment: Indoor, temperature controlled, production facility.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to be able to stand on feet for at least 8 hours/day
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Personal Protection Equipment (PPE): Certain PPE may be required while performing specific job functions.
Security Clearance: Amsive is a Federal Contractor, and this position may require government security clearance for certain projects.
