What we are looking for:

Amsive is looking for an Associate Director, Social & Influencer Strategist to own a portfolio of client accounts, develop organic social and influencer strategies, and guide the team responsible for day-to-day execution. This is a hands-on, client-facing role for someone who can turn business goals and audience insights into clear plans, give useful creative direction, and keep multiple brands moving forward.

The Associate Director is accountable for the strategic quality, delivery, and performance of assigned social and influencer programs. Working with department leadership, Client Experience (CX), project management, creative, and channel specialists, this person sets account priorities, coaches team members, reviews work, and helps resolve challenges before they affect the client.

What you will be doing:

Own assigned social and influencer accounts

  • Lead assigned accounts from discovery and planning through execution, reporting, and ongoing optimization. Understand each client’s business, audience, brand voice, scope, and measures of success.
  • Serve as the primary social and influencer subject matter lead for assigned clients. Build trust through clear recommendations, proactive ideas, and consistent follow-through.
  • Lead strategy presentations, planning discussions, and performance reviews. Translate results into practical decisions about content, platforms, creators, and investment.
  • Partner with CX on client communication and relationship coordination, and with project management on schedules, dependencies, and approvals. Bring the strategic recommendations and delivery decisions needed to move the work forward.

Develop organic social strategy

  • Build organic social strategies grounded in audience research, social listening, competitive analysis, brand positioning, and client objectives.
  • Define platform roles, content pillars, editorial priorities, formats, publishing cadence, community engagement, and testing plans for each brand.
  • Translate strategy into clear briefs, content calendars, campaign concepts, and actionable direction for social managers, creators, designers, and copywriters.
  • Guide platform-native storytelling across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other relevant channels. Recommend new platforms and formats where audience needs and business goals support them.
  • Set community management guidance, review sensitive responses, and escalate reputation or client concerns through established paths.

Lead influencer and creator programs

  • Develop influencer, creator, ambassador, and UGC recommendations that connect talent, content, and distribution to the client’s goals.
  • Guide creator research, audience and brand-fit evaluation, casting, outreach, briefing, and relationship management with the team executing the program.
  • Oversee campaign execution, content review, client approvals, posting milestones, and performance reporting. Ensure deliverables meet the approved brief and program requirements.
  • Partner with operations and designated reviewers on budgets, compensation, contracts, usage rights, exclusivity, disclosure requirements, and payment milestones. Keep commitments within approved scope and approval paths.
  • Connect creator content with organic publishing and coordinate with paid media specialists when approved amplification supports the program.

Guide and support the execution team

  • Turn account priorities into clear assignments, responsibilities, and quality expectations. Help team members understand both what needs to happen and why it matters.
  • Review content calendars, copy, creative, creator recommendations, community responses, and reporting before client delivery. Give specific feedback and confirm revisions address the brief.
  • Provide day-to-day coaching, unblock work, and help team members strengthen strategy, platform fluency, creative judgment, and client communication.
  • Monitor workloads across assigned accounts with project management. Recommend priority changes or resource adjustments, and raise capacity concerns with department leadership.
  • Support department leadership with onboarding, training, development feedback, and performance observations. Reinforce shared workflows and help the team build confidence and accountability.

Measure performance and connect the work

  • Define account-level KPIs and reporting plans with department leadership and analytics partners. Evaluate organic audience growth, engagement quality, content performance, creator results, and contribution to client goals.
  • Identify what is working, explain what needs to change, and turn insights into the next round of briefs, tests, and recommendations.
  • Partner with editorial content and SEO/AEO specialists to connect social and creator programs with audience questions, useful expert content, social search, and broader discovery opportunities.
  • Coordinate content repurposing and distribution across relevant teams while maintaining each brand’s voice and channel requirements.

Manage delivery and support account growth

  • Track deliverables, deadlines, effort, and approved budgets across assigned accounts. Flag scope changes, production needs, creator costs, or timing risks early, with a recommended path forward.
  • Keep Asana tasks, ownership, and account status current with project management and the execution team. Ensure briefs, feedback, approvals, and assets are easy to find.
  • Identify useful opportunities to expand or improve client programs. Contribute to scopes, proposals, pitches, and case studies with department leadership and CX.

Who you are:

  • 6+ years of experience as a social and influencer strategist with a track record of managing multiple client brands in an agency or comparable consulting environment.
  • Strong in organic social strategy, community engagement, editorial planning, and platform-native creative, with examples of growing audiences and improving meaningful engagement.
  • Experienced in influencer and creator programs, including talent evaluation, briefing, content approvals, campaign coordination, and measurement.
  • Comfortable leading client conversations and turning business objectives, audience insights, and performance data into clear recommendations.
  • Experienced guiding or managing team members, reviewing creative work, prioritizing assignments, and giving constructive feedback.
  • A strong writer, presenter, and creative briefer who can adapt to different brand voices and give the team clear direction.
  • Organized across competing deadlines, scopes, and budgets, with sound judgment about when to act and when to escalate.
  • Comfortable with Asana, social publishing and listening platforms, analytics tools, and creator management systems. Familiarity with social search and SEO/AEO collaboration is a plus.

Additional Information:

  • Salary starting at $125,000/yr, based on skills and experience, plus commission
  • Unlimited Vacation Time, Annual Sick Days, Annual Personal Days, and 11 Paid Holidays
  • Dental, Vision, and Health Insurance
  • 401(k) with company match program
  • Paid Parental Leave

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
