Operator II, Mail Finishing – Night Shift

Work Location is at 605 Territorial Dr. Bolingbrook, IL 60440
*This is a 12 hour Shift working 5pm - 5am with rotating weekends*
Summary/Objective: Responsible for individual activities related to cutting and folding direct mail pieces.
Essential Functions:
- Operating and setting up Tecnau & Hunkeler finishing lines.
- Operating and setting up traditional cutters and folders in bindery.
- Enter data into ERP monitoring overall performance, efficiency, and quality.
- Perform equipment start-up, shut-down and preventive maintenance.
- Sample and monitor product quality coming off the system, making modifications as needed.
- Troubleshoot finishing line performance and quality problems, correcting them and stabilizing performance as they occur.
- Replenish materials ongoing as materials are depleted.
- Maintains production, efficiency and quality records related to the finishing / bindery operation.
- Supports the manufacture of personal products through a continuous production operation, requiring an understanding of work methods and procedures as well as various binding machines.
- Work is typically routine, although some discretion may be allowed. Applies limited knowledge and expertise applicable to specialty for the implementation of predominantly short-term tasks and projects for business needs.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Effective process management skills.
- Mechanical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to document regular activities and e-mail correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to multi-task.
- Aptitude for accuracy and a meticulous eye for detail.
- Work independently.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Not responsible for supervising other employees.
Work Environment: Indoor, temperature controlled, production facility.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to be able to stand on feet for at least 8 hours/day
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Personal Protection Equipment (PPE): Certain PPE may be required while performing specific job functions.
Security Clearance: Amsive is a Federal Contractor, and this position may require government security clearance for certain projects.
