Location: 605 Territorial Dr Bolingbrook, IL 60440
1st Shift Work Hours: 5am - 2:30pm, with expected additional hours/weekends mandatory. 
Pay: Starting hourly salary of at least $15.00 per hour depending on experience 

What we are looking for: 

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary manufacturing production facility. This role supports daily plant operations by performing routine and specialized cleaning tasks across production floors, break rooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas. The Custodian works in a fast-paced industrial environment and must follow all safety protocols, including OSHA regulations and company-specific guidelines. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and sanitize production floors, hallways, and common areas on a scheduled and as-needed basis 

  • Clean and disinfect facility including restrooms, common areas, break rooms, and office spaces daily 

  • Remove trash, recyclables, and manufacturing waste from designated collection points and transport to disposal/dumpster areas 

  • Clean and maintain industrial equipment exteriors, conveyor areas, and non-operational machine surfaces as directed 

  • Replenish supplies in restrooms, break rooms, and hand-washing stations (soap, paper towels, sanitizer, etc.) 

  • Operate industrial floor scrubbers, sweepers, pressure washers, and other custodial equipment 

  • Monitor and report facility maintenance needs, safety hazards, or equipment issues to the supervisor 

  • Assist with spill cleanup and emergency sanitation response on the production floor 

  • Clean loading docks, exterior entryways, and parking lot areas as assigned 

  • Properly label, store, and handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with OSHA and SDS guidelines 

  • Perform deep-cleaning tasks on a rotating schedule (e.g., walls, vents, machinery bases, storage areas) 

  • Complete daily cleaning logs and inspection checklists accurately 

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager or Plant Supervisor 

Who you are:  

  • Prior custodial, janitorial, or industrial cleaning experience preferred 

  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, including safety signage 

  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, dilution ratios, and safe handling procedures 

  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team 

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential 

  • High school diploma or GED preferred 

  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen 

    Supervisory Responsibilities: None 

    Work Environment: Position operates in a regulated manufacturing print/mail production facility

    Physical Demands:

  • Stand and walk for up to 12 hours, with frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Perform repetitive motions in a fast-paced production environment
Security Clearance: Amsive is a Federal Contractor, and this position may require government security clearance for certain projects.
