What we are looking for:

Amsive is looking for a motivated and curious Organic Search Intern to join our SEO team. This internship offers hands-on experience in modern organic search marketing, spanning Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), also commonly referred to as Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). As a performance marketing agency, we help clients improve their visibility across traditional search engines and AI-powered search experiences, and throughout the internship you will learn how SEO and AEO strategies are developed and implemented while supporting our team on client projects.
This role is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in digital marketing, AI-powered search, analytics, content strategy, and search technology, and it builds a foundation for careers such as SEO Specialist, Organic Search Analyst, Digital Marketing Specialist, Content Strategist, Marketing Analyst, AEO Specialist, and Search Marketing Consultant.

What you will be doing:
  • Assist with keyword and search intent research.
  • Help review website content and identify simple on-page SEO improvements.
  • Learn how to optimize page titles, meta descriptions, headings, image alt text, and internal links.
  • Help organize and review website content for SEO best practices.
  • Assist with basic technical SEO checks, such as identifying broken links, missing metadata, duplicate content, and crawl issues.
  • Help review website performance using SEO tools and analytics platforms.
  • Observe and assist with reporting on organic search performance.
  • Learn how AI-powered search platforms discover and summarize website content.
  • Assist with reviewing client content for clarity, accuracy, and answer-focused writing.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve content for AI-generated search experiences.
  • Assist with researching common user questions and search topics.
  • Learn how structured data (Schema.org) helps search engines and AI systems understand content.
  • Help review how client content appears in AI-powered search experiences such as ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot.
  • Support the team with research and testing as AEO best practices continue to evolve.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and project discussions.
  • Support SEO specialists with client deliverables and ongoing projects.

What you will learn:

  • SEO reporting and analytics, using industry-standard SEO, analytics, and AI tools.
  • How to stay up to date with changes in search engines and AI search technologies.
  • What it is like to work on client projects within a collaborative digital marketing agency, with mentorship from experienced digital marketing professionals.

Who you are:
  • You are currently pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Journalism, or a related field.
  • You have an interest in digital marketing and search engines.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • You have good attention to detail.
  • You have a willingness to learn and ask questions.
  • A basic understanding of SEO concepts is a plus.
  • Basic proficiency with HTML is a plus.
  • Familiarity with WordPress or another content management system is a plus.
  • Coursework or personal projects related to digital marketing are a plus.
  • Exposure to any of these tools is a plus: Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Looker Studio, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog SEO Spider, Google Trends, Claude, and WordPress.

Additional Information
  • This is a paid internship starting at $18/hr.
  • Interns typically work 20-40 hours per week, usually across 3-5 days per week.
  • This role is a hybrid role, based in Nashville or New York, to support in-person learning, team collaboration, and cross-office connection.
  • Amsive provides the workspace and equipment interns need. Access to tools and systems will be provisioned during onboarding.
