What we are looking for:

Amsive is looking for a Sr Manager, Audience Strategy & Media Planning who will be a key strategic contributor within Amsive’s Planning & Strategy team, responsible for advancing audience-centric media strategies across a diverse portfolio of clients using Amsive’s Audience Science framework. This role requires a strong understanding of audience research and development and its importance in informing media planning, creative messaging, and performance insights. The Manager, Audience Strategy & Media Planning plays a critical role in identifying opportunities, shaping strategic thinking, and supporting cross-functional collaboration. 
 
This role is designed for an analytical, curious, and collaborative strategist who brings a strong point of view on audience strategy while partnering closely with Data & Customer Insights, Media Activation, Analytics, and Account Services teams.

What you will be doing:

 
  • Develop audience-first media strategies, ensuring plans are insight-driven, thoughtful, and aligned to business objectives.
  • Assess current audience approaches to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and unmet opportunities across media strategies.
  • Translate identified opportunities into refined audience and media strategy recommendations.
  • Conduct and synthesize audience research to uncover meaningful insights related to behaviors, motivations, media consumption, and performance signals.
  • Leverage Amsive’s proprietary data, tools, and modeling capabilities to inform audience development and strategic planning.
  • Apply AI-enabled tools, predictive modeling outputs, and advanced analytics to enhance audience discovery, segmentation, and strategic recommendations.
  • Partner with Amsive’s Data & Customer Insights team to develop audiences using both first- and third-party data sources.
  • Partner with Account Services team and Analytics teams to explore modeling opportunities, interpret performance insights, and inform strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Paid Media (Activation) team to understand audience performance and apply learnings to future strategy.
  • Serve as an expert in audience strategy, helping elevate audience-first thinking and best practices across the agency.
  • Support new business opportunities by contributing audience insights, research, and strategic input as needed.

Who you are:
 
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in media planning and strategy, with demonstrated ownership of audience strategy within an agency or similar environment.
  • Strong expertise in audience-first media planning, with the ability to translate audience insights into strategic media recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting, synthesizing, and applying audience research to inform planning and strategy.
  • Strong working knowledge of the modern audience data ecosystem, including first-, second-, and third-party data, walled garden environments, DSP audiences, and identity-based planning frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience working with audience planning and research platforms (e.g., Resonate, MRI-Simmons, Neustar, Epsilon, The Trade Desk, or similar), with a strong understanding of in-platform targeting capabilities, programmatic environments, and DSP-based audience strategy frameworks.
  • Proven ability to understand performance data and apply insights to inform optimization direction and planning decisions, in partnership with activation teams.
  • Highly analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity.
  • Strong presentation skills, with experience confidently presenting audience and media strategies to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Proven collaborator, comfortable working cross-functionally with activation, analytics, account services, and research teams.
  • Proven ability to effectively leverage audience research, segmentation, and media planning tools to develop audience-led strategies.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate insights and recommendations.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • Experience working with proprietary data sets, identity-based solutions, or modeling tools
  • Exposure to performance-driven media environments and optimization feedback loops.
  • Experience contributing to the development of strategic frameworks, processes, or best practices within an agency setting.
  • Interest in mentoring or supporting more junior planners through knowledge-sharing and collaboration.
